Norway Removals

About us

One route, run properly

There are plenty of firms that will move you to Norway as one line on a list of forty destinations. We would rather do this corridor and know it.

What we are

A UK removals firm that moves households to Norway. Full loads and groupage, export packing built around the customs inventory, the route out — overland through Europe or across the North Sea — and the Norwegian import declaration at the other end.

We are not a Norwegian company and we do not pretend to be. We are the UK end of the journey, working with the Norwegian side of it, and that is a more honest description than most sites in this corner of the trade offer.

Why a single corridor

Because the specifics are where the value is. Anybody can put a sofa on a lorry. What is worth paying for is somebody who knows that Norway is outside the EU customs union, that flyttegods relief turns on your residence rather than your nationality, that Bergen usually goes by sea and Oslo usually does not, and that a February delivery to Tromsø needs a different conversation from a June one.

That knowledge does not survive being spread across forty destinations.

How we work

One corridor, properly

UK to Norway is what we do. Not twenty destinations with eighteen sub-contracted to firms we have never met. It means we actually know what the Svinesund crossing adds, when the sailings stop being reliable, and what a Bergen timber street does to a delivery plan.

The customs is ours to get right

Norway sits outside the EU customs union, and the single most valuable thing we do is prepare a declaration that holds. That starts at survey with the inventory, not at the border with an apology.

We survey before we quote

In person or over video. On an export move the survey does double duty — it sizes the load and it begins the inventory. A quote without one is a guess about paperwork as well as volume.

We say what we cannot do

Not Sweden, Denmark or Germany as destinations. Not vehicle importation advice. Not immigration advice. Each of those is somebody else’s expertise and pretending otherwise would not help you.

Insurance

Goods-in-transit and public liability cover are in place, and the limits are stated on your quote rather than buried in a policy you never see. On a journey of this length it is worth declaring high-value items individually at survey, so the right cover is arranged before departure rather than found to be missing afterwards.

Storage cover is arranged separately and is based on the value you declare. That is set out in the storage agreement before anything is collected.

What you will not find here

No trade-association logos we do not hold. No client brand marks. No star ratings, no invented customer quotes, no photographs of people who do not work here, and no figures about how many households we have moved. A great many removals sites carry all of that and none of it is verifiable.

No prices either. Not out of cageyness — the written quote is fully itemised — but because a headline figure for "a three-bed to Norway" is meaningless before anybody knows whether it is Oslo or Tromsø, dedicated or groupage, relocating or furnishing a cabin. Those three questions move the number more than the bedroom count does.

And one more absence worth naming: we do not claim the flyttegods relief is guaranteed. It is a decision for Norwegian customs on the evidence. Anyone promising otherwise is overselling.

Where to start

If you are still deciding whether to move at all, the guide sets out the sequence. If you know where you are going, where we deliver covers the country. The customs page is the one most people actually need, and the FAQ covers the rest.

Researching rather than booking? Ask anyway.

We would rather have a useful conversation at the planning stage than a rushed one against a date that was never realistic.
